Robert coached 5 IHSAA State Champion Relay teams, of which 2 broke national records.

He coached 4 state record holders.  His teams won 13 girls’ track sectionals and 8 regionals.

In cross country, his girls won 9 sectionals.

Charles Siesky

Evansville Harrison

Charles coached 3 IHSAA individual state champions in boys’ track.

His teams won 17 track sectionals in boys’ track.

He coached 10 girls’ cross country sectional team winners, 5 girls’ cross country regional team champions, and 5 boys’ cross country sectional team winners. 

Charles’ dual meet boys’ track record was 193-14-1.

Lisa Hoffman

South Bend St. Joseph’s

Lisa was All-State 4 times in cross country.

She won the 1992 IHSAA State Track 3200 meter championship in 11:07.95.

In 1995 she won the Indiana Intercollegiate 10,000 meters in track, while at Purdue.

Jennifer Warthan

Bloomington South

Jennifer won the 1991 State IHSAA Cross Country Meet.  She ran 4:59.21 to place second in the 1991 State Meet 1600 Meters, while also placing second in the State Meet 3200 meters. 

In 1989, Jennifer ran a 10:57.47 to place second in the IHSAA State track 3200 meters. 

She placed second in the 1991 Mid-East Cross Country Championships with a 18:10, which was the second best 5K time in meet history.

Roger Frazier

Richmond

Roger won the 1975 State IHSAA 100 yard dash title.

In 1974, he was the state IHSAA 100 yard dash runner-up.  He ran 9.5 while in high school.

At the University of Minnesota, Roger placed third in the Big 10 Indoor 60 meter dash and third in the Big 10 Outdoor 100 meter dash.

He was named 1975 Prep Track & Field Athlete of the Year by Coach & Athlete Magazine.

Michael McClaran

New Prarie

Michael was 1989 and 1990 State IHSAA runner-up in cross country.

At Auburn University and Bevard College, he was a 6 time All-American while running cross country and track.

Michael was a qualifier for the World Junior Cross Country Meet in 1991.

Nick Middleton

Lawrence Central

Nick was the 1992 and the 1993 State IHSAA 1600 meter champion.

He ran 4:07.47 in the 1993 State Finals to lead the nation.

He also won the 1993 State IHSAA 3200 meters.

He was the first Indiana high school runner to win both the 1600 and 3200 in the same State meet.

Nick won the State IHSAA Cross Country Championship in 1993.

Bobby Pettigrew

Kokomo

Bobby was the 1994 IHSAA State Shot Put Champion with a 62’ 6.25” throw.

He also won the 1995 IHSAA State Shot Put with a 63’ 6.25” throw.

Bobby was the 1995 RCA Dome shot put champion with a 66’ 0.5” throw to lead the nation indoors.

Brock Smith

Homestead

Brock was the 1995 State IHSAA 800 meter champion with a 1:52.47.

He was the 1994 IHSAA State 800 meter runner-up.

Brock was an All-American at Tennessee in the 800 meters with a 1:48.73 indoors.

Frankie Young

Kokomo

Franke was the 1993 IHSAA State long jump champion at 23’ 9.75”.

He won the 1994 State IHSAA long jump title with a 24’ 7.75” jump.

He won the 1995 State IHSAA long jump with a 24’ 7.75” jump.

Franke was a four time All-American in the long jump while at Indiana State University.

He was second in the 1999 NCAA outdoor long jump.

He long jumped 26’ 10” and triple jumped 50’ 5.25” in college.

Franke still holds the state meet record in the long jump.
